Eataly MilanThe latest Eataly temple to Italian gastronomy opens in Milan on March 18. The store location is the ex Teatro Smeraldo, a short walk from the central Garibaldi train station.

The opening date is important  historical reference in Milan’s history: on March 18,1848 that the Milanese launched their “cinque giornate” (five day) rebellion against occupying Austrian forces.

On each of the three floors, for 5.500 square meters, there are sales of food, wine, books and restaurant areas, as well as production areas for mozzarella, bread and pastries. But the latest addition to the Eataly family, is also a cultural center, with spaces for conferences, workshops, cooking corse all in line with its original theatrical origins.
